Lip balm is one of the simplest skincare products to make, but the ratio of wax to butter to oil determines everything about the texture. More wax = firmer and longer-lasting. More oil = softer and glossier.
If you're using candelilla wax instead of beeswax, use roughly half the amount (it's about twice as hard). A good starting point with candelilla is 12-15% wax.
